Wendy Neilson - I am a native of Oakville, Ontario but a long time resident of British Columbia, having lived in Mexico and England along with extended sojourns to interesting places around the world. These unique environments have influenced my varying directions, both as a potter and a painter.
Until recently, I had been drawn towards producing tactile, bold, strong colourful images of an abstract, realistic nature. There has been an overdose of experimentation with encaustics, cold wax and oils, but it seems I'm settling into a happy combination of textural acrylics with a Zentangle influence.
I am teaching Zentangle classes for Basic, as well as Beyond, in Fort Langley or on location when required.
With my husband Mike and wee Suzi, our condo on Billy Brown Road is my home based, full time, working studio.
