Times welcomes new cartoonist

Artist Blair Howatt is going to contribute editorial cartoons to The Times’ editorial pages.

The Walnut Grove resident is well-known for his artwork for the Langley Good Times Cruise-In.

“Most people know my work when they think of the Langley Good Times Cruise-In posters, which I have had the pleasure of doing for the past five years. I have done illustrations for various companies over the years, completed many caricatures, cartoons, and commissions during my career as an artist,” he said.

“Recently I have teamed up with (Times columnist) Jim McGregor and we are presently in the process of publishing a children’s book. I look forward to this latest venture with The Times. With any luck you will crack a smile at the editorial cartoon, but Taughm is a pretty tough act to follow.”
